Actor/director Mel Gibson found his life in shambles and career in jeopardy after being arrested for drunk driving in the Los Angles suburb of Malibu early Friday, July 28.
The Hollywood actor's morning went from bad to worse when he launched into an anti-Semitic tirade while being taken into custody.
  七月二十八日清早，演員兼導演的梅爾•吉勃遜因在洛杉磯郊區的馬里布酒醉駕車遭警方逮捕，他的生活就此陷入一團混亂，演藝事業危在旦夕。更糟的是，這位好萊塢演員在警方逮捕的過程中，開始發表一連串反猶太言論，讓情況愈變愈遭。
The Passion of the Christ director was stopped while driving 80 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone along the Pacific Coast Highway.
Prior to the traffic stop, Gibson spent the evening at a Malibu-area nightspot drinking and posing for photos with fans.
According to L.A. County Sheriff's Department reports, the 50-year-old Road Warrior had a blood alcohol level of 0.12 percent -- the legal limit is 0.08 -- and an open bottle of tequila in his Lexus.

The arresting Sheriff's deputy said Gibson initially tried to flee the scene while being taken into custody and had to be forcefully subdued.
The actor then unleashed a stream of expletives and racial epithets directed at Jews, who he claimed "are responsible for all the wars in the world," and then demanded of the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"
Gibson's father is an outspoken Holocaust denier and Gibson's own Passion of the Christ has been criticized for its portrayal of the complicity of Jews in the crucifixion.

A planned Gibson-produced television series on the holocaust was cancelled by Disney following the incident.
