    說明：
    這句片語的字面意義為「在同一條船上」，引申指「面臨同樣的處境」，常用來比喻「處於同一境況」，而且通常是指不幸境況，所以當你要描述處於同樣的命運或面臨同樣的危險，in the same boat 是很好用的唷。

    關鍵說明 ：
    allow 和 permit 都有「允許」的意思，但兩者還是有些微不同：

使用場合
 多用於非正式的場合，與 let 意思相通。 多用於正式的場合，或是用在法條、規定之中。
用法
     兩者都可接「人 + to V.」表示「允許某人做某事」
allow 還可接「時間、金錢 + to V.」，表示「為了某種目的而預留時間、金錢」

  I am not sure my parents will allow me to go to the rock concert.
    我不確定我爸媽會不會允許我去看搖滾演唱會。
     
  Only first-class flyers are permitted to use the V.I.P. Lounge.
    只有頭等艙乘客才准使用貴賓室。
